July 2014: Explanatory note on the 2014 Human Development Report composite indices, Iran
This report gives you a glance to the Iranian development in Education, Health and Economic indexes between 1980 to 2013. Astonishingly, Iran's HDI value in 2013 is 0.749, which position the country at 75 out of 187 countries, but the inequality in distributing these resources prevents some groups to enjoy this growth. For example, although both female and male have similar access to educational facilities (respectively 62.2% and 67.6%), there is a high difference in the percentage of Female and male participation in the labour market (respectively 16.4% and 73.1%).
Reading this report is strongly suggested.
